OZEV EV Charger Grant in Manchester

The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant (formerly the OLEV/EVHS grant) is available to eligible households across Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester area. The scheme covers 75% of the purchase and installation cost of a dedicated home EV chargepoint, up to a maximum of £500 per installation. If you rent or own a leasehold flat in Manchester, you could pay as little as a few hundred pounds for a fully installed smart charger.

Who qualifies in Manchester?

The grant is open to the following in the Manchester area:

• Renters - private and social tenants across Manchester and Greater Manchester
• Leasehold flat owners (e.g. apartments in city centre, Salford, Trafford, Stockport)
• Landlords installing chargepoints for their tenants
• Social housing providers with eligible properties
• All applicants must have dedicated off-street parking at the property

Freehold homeowners are not eligible for the home grant. If you own a business with off-street parking in the Manchester area, you may qualify for the Workplace Charging Scheme instead - ask us when you get a quote.

OZEV-authorised installers in Manchester

How to apply for the grant in Manchester

You do not apply for the grant yourself. When you book through an OZEV-authorised installer, they handle all the grant paperwork and deduct the grant value directly from your invoice. There is no portal to navigate and no waiting for a rebate - the discount is applied at the point of installation. Your installer will confirm your eligibility at the quote stage.
